Visit the popular cities of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur and then go deeper into the colourful state of Rajasthan. This two weeks trip brings you some of the highlights of the royal Rajasthan along with lesser known places which are equally impressive. There are massive forts and beautiful palaces of Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur and small towns such as Pushkar are a great break from the craziness of big cities. But the Taj Mahal still remains probably the biggest attraction.

Towering over the blue city, the muscular Mehrangarh fort is certainly one of the best forts in India.

Shimmering lakes, milky white palaces and roof top restaurants make Udaipur one of the most romantic places in India.

There could be a couple of long days of travel on this trip with limited options and some of the roads may not be great. We will always prepare you well in advance before we embark on any of such day's travel.

Pushkar is a pilgrimage town for Hindus. Consumption of meat or alcohol within the boundaries of Pushkar is illegal.

Drive from Delhi to Agra = around 210 kms | approx. 4.5 hours

Today, it is going to be a long yet exciting day. Post breakfast, we will leave for Agra. There are options on the way for a cup of tea or coffee along with basic washrooms.

Drive from Agra to Jaipur via Abhaneri = approx. 260 kms | around 6-7 hours.

Post breakfast, we will leave for Jaipur. En route, we will stop at the small village of Abhaneri popular for one of the most beautiful step wells of the region. There are options on the way for lunch and to use washrooms. We will arrive into Jaipur late in the afternoon. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and settle down. This evening, we will go on a heritage walk of the pink city.

Post breakfast, we will go out on an exciting day of sightseeing of Jaipur.

Drive from Jaipur to Roopangarh = around 105 kms | approx. 2.5 hours.

Post breakfast, we will leave for the village of Roopangarh which is one of the off beat places in this itinerary. After having experienced a couple of cities, it is indeed a great experience going off the beaten track to experience life at bliss in remote countryside.

The fort of Roopangarh still belongs to the royal family of Kishangarh and has now been converted into a heritage hotel.

This afternoon we will go on a casual walk through the village to be able to witness everyday life which is lot more relaxed, people are much friendlier and there are plenty of smiling faces.

Drive from Roopangarh to Pushkar = around 70 kms | approx. 2 hours.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the comfort of fort Roopangarh. Post breakfast, we will leave for Pushkar. Upon arrival at Pushkar, check into your hotel and settle down. Late in the afternoon, we will go on a walking tour of the town of Pushkar.

IMPORTANT: Pushkar is a pilgrimage town for Hindus. Consumption of meat or alcohol within he boundaries of Pushkar is illegal.

If you are an early morning enthusiast, you could choose to walk up to the Savitri devi temple on the hill. Panaromic views of the town and the lake from the top of the hill are worth the early morning wake up call.

Drive from Pushkar to Jodhpur = approx. 185 kms | around 5 hours.

Post breakfast, we will leave for Jodhpur. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and settle down. If time permits today, we will go out to explore the old city which is centred around the iconic clock tower.

Post breakfast, we will head out to explore the mighty Mehrangarh fort. The visit should take around 1.5 - 2 hours. Later in the day, you may choose to go for any of the recommended optional activities.

Drive from Jodhpur to Udaipur via Ranakpur = around 285 kms | approx. 7 hours.

Post breakfast, we will leave for Udaipur. En route, we will visit the world famous Ranakpur Jain temples which were constructed around 400 years ago.

Once we are through with the temple visit, we will carry on with our drive to Udaipur. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and settle down.

There are plenty of optional activities (not included in the trip price) here and you could always seek your Tour Leader's help in pursuing any of those, subject to your tastes and preferences.

Post breakfast, we will visit the city palace museum which is one of the largest palace museums in Rajasthan. Later today, join a local cooking class and learn the secrets of Indian cuisine and lunch.

Today, we will catch a flight from Udaipur to Delhi (approx. 1.5 hours). Upon arrival into Delhi, check into your hotel and settle down. The rest of the day is at leisure. If time permits, you may choose to go for any of our recommended optional activities.

IMPORTANT: We are likely to reach Delhi early in the evening. We suggest you do not book your flight out of Delhi until late night or tomorrow morning as delays can and do occur.
